I think you have your terms mixed up.

Do you want to:
a) Boot OSX from the iPod (through USB)
b) Boot XP in a virtual machine with the XP image on the iPod
c) Boot XP with bootcamp using the iPod as the hard drive
d) none of the above specify: _______________

You only need to boot from your Leopard install disk or your MacBook restore disk to reinstall.

To get to the optical drive, try starting up holding down the Shift key.

I think this is the interpretation.

I have a bootleg copy of Leopard on my Vista PC.
I can't burn it to disk.
So, I want to know if I can copy the Leopard iso to my iPod and then install Leopard on my Macbook from the iPod?

Answer:
This site chooses to abide by U.S. law when it comes to these kind of things. So, you'll not get much help around here. If you want to do it right, I would suggest either purchasing a legitimate copy of Leopard or using your original install disks that came with the machine and re-install Tiger.

If you have lost your original disks, you can get a replacement copy of them for a very reasonable price by giving Apple a call.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
