Overwrote OSX partition with NTFS - Can you help me get data back?

Long story short, when trying to use BootCamp to load XP on a MBP, I
accidentally formatted the MAC OSX (latest version) partition (insert
snickers here).
I need a utility that I can point to the drive to reverse my handywork (revert back to OSX)
and get the OSX partition and hopefully the data back - any ideas?

Are you 100% sure you formatted the OSX Partition? What happens if you boot and hold down the OPTION (Alt) key after the startup sound? Keep it down and see if a Boot Menu shows up. If so wait a bit and see if you see OSX and Windows. If not then you probably did format it.

I really doubt you lost OS X. That just doesn't make sense - not with BootCamp. I'm guessing your OS X will show up again when you reboot as dtravis said. But hold the option key down immediately AT the startup sound.
