OS 10.5 - Different icon sizes

Hi all.
I wonder if there is a way to customize desktop icon sizes like you do it in Ubuntu.

View > Show View Options
There is an icon size slider there.

Ah, sorry. I forgot to mention: different icon sizes for different items. Some are small, some are bigger...
