hello!! I just got my macbook today (still getting used to the os!!) anyway i tryed to install the usb soundcard, did as instructions said and am positive drivers are installed fine, anyway the control panel for the soundcard was installed into the system preferences folder as this is the default place it goes. What I need to do now so i can access the preferences and set it up is to drag it to the desktop by highlighting it and then pressing command key + M. (can someone please write dummy intructions for this so i can make sure im doing it right as first time iv used a mac!! probly sounds really thick but all Iv ever used is windows in the past!)
Am I correct in thinking that you cant actually open programs in the system prefernces folder?? the usb soundcard icon is underneath "other" at the bottom of system preferences, when i click on it and try to move it i get this message - You cannot open M-Audio Audiophile USB preferences pane on this computer. Contact the developer of this software for a newer version. The soundcard is new and is fully compatible with mac OS X so I really dunno what the problem is and it is doing my head in!!! Someone please help, thanks |
