I was trying to create a new folder in my Movies folder, and I got this error message: The operation could not be completed. An unexpected error occurred (error code -8058)

The strange thing is that I can create a new folder in other places.

Can anyone help me out with this?

As he said, repairing permissions should work. You can also try repair disk, but you need to boot off the OSX cd for that to work right...
