I recently made a script that takes a picture using my macbook's camera and then sends that image along with a txt file that has external and internal ip address info to my home server. Now that I have this, it would be nice to have it run when the laptop is starts up, or connects to the internet. I currently have it run once an hour via crontab, but I was looking for another way to run it. Any ideas would be great.

Welcome to Mac-Forums, bobmagoo.

I'm not an expert but maybe you could find some info on this here at Apple Developer Connection, Introduction to System Startup Programming Topics. I also found this donationware app, CronniX so depending on how you wrote the script, it might work.

A ready-made app for this phone home thingy is Undercover.

Other resources:

- Cocoa Dev Central

- CocoaDev

- MacDevCenter

- iDevApps

Hope this helps.
QUOTE Thanks
