OS 10.5 - Verizon Broadband card very slow

I just got a MBP and installed my verizon broadband card. I am getting extremely slow download rates. Any ideas???

How slow? Have you done a speed test?

And where are you? Many areas haven't been upgraded to support broadband yet. You might try taking your laptop into a different city.
