    Need help in hard drive partition
    I just got a macbook and would like to partition my hard drive so i can use time machine. can anyone help me out or direct me to a tutorial?

    You mean internal hard drive? You can not use internal drive for TM. You need external ones.

    For partitioning use the disk utility and specify the number of partitions and click apply

    oh ok. just out of curiosity, if i do partition now will i lose any data i have on the hard drive?

    2010 Macbook Pro, 8g RAM, iPhone 6, iPad Mini, Apple TV
    Yes, unless you use a third party app. I have heard about iPartition, but have not used it. Not free. I'm sure there are others, but I have not used any so cannot give recommendations.
