MacBook Pro - Start up sound

does anyone knows how to turn off that sound that plays when you turn your computer on? i tried connecting my headphones but t still plays that sound thru main speakers.
thank you.
(i'm not sure is this is the right place for my question, so forgive me )

When shutting down, mute the sound. I think there's another solution, but for the time being do the mute thing...
