Anyone have this issue running the maintenace scripts?
Here is my log. Running daily maintenance scripts Sun Dec 2 14:05:51 CST 2007 Removing scratch and junk files... touch: /var/msgs/bounds: Permission denied rm: ./.BlankFile: Permission denied find: ./launchd: Permission denied find: ./mds/65: Permission denied rm: ./mds/system/mds.install.lock: Permission denied msgs: only the super-user can use the c flag Checking subsystem status... ruptime: no hosts in /var/rwho. Rotating log files... - system.log mv: rename system.log to system.log.0: Permission denied touch: system.log: Permission denied /Applications/MainMenu.app/Contents/Resources/MainMenuCron: line 102: kill: (12) - Operation not permitted Sun Dec 2 14:05:52 CST 2007 Maintenance scripts complete All the Maintenance scripts come back with permission denied. Verify and repair permissions has been run. Have not found any info on this as of yet. Already e-mailed Main Menu developer also. Emailing the dev is very good, bob! That helps him tweak his app so it can be even better.
I am running Tiger and do not see these messages: it comes out clean every day: Quote:
Maybe it's a Leopard thing and it isn't as compatible as we all thought. Keep us up to date if the developer replies. I would imagine he will. Keeping my fingers crossed for ya. |

Bought Xslimmer last week and just moved my entire Apps folder into it. Cut just over 2GB of space out. Just now went in and deleted the slimmed down version of Main Menu and re-installed it. Now get a clean log. Now I have to e-mail both of them... I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. Good to hear. I have not had one issue with MainMenu and Leopard since MHC turned me on to it! Great little utility!
