I tried to boot up XP in Parallels tonight and it gave me about 3 different error messages then my screen quietly faded black and came up with "hold down power button to restart."
Once my MBP came back on, I got the message saying Mac OS X quite unexpectedly. Here is what the kernel panic said: Tue Nov 27 21:23:42 2007 panic(cpu 1 caller 0x001A7BED): Kernel trap at 0x4ab2998a, type 27=Unknown, registers: CR0: 0x8001003b, CR2: 0x00691c00, CR3: 0x00d4a000, CR4: 0x00002660 EAX: 0x00000003, EBX: 0x6d626572, ECX: 0x496b4000, EDX: 0x49203b70 CR2: 0x00691c00, EBP: 0x49203bb0, ESI: 0x6d616769, EDI: 0x63216e75 EFL: 0x00000002, EIP: 0x4ab2998a, CS: 0x00000008, DS: 0x016a0010 Error code: 0x00000000 Backtrace, Format - Frame : Return Address (4 potential args on stack) 0x49203998 : 0x12b0e1 (0x455670 0x492039cc 0x133238 0x0) 0x492039e8 : 0x1a7bed (0x45ea20 0x4ab2998a 0x1b 0x454484) 0x49203ac8 : 0x19e517 (0x49203ae0 0xe 0x49203bb0 0x4ab2998a) 0x49203ad8 : 0x4ab2998a (0xe 0x10048 0x49200010 0x10) 0x49203bb0 : 0x4ab29814 (0x67fbf332 0xdeadbeef 0x246 0x0) 0x49203be8 : 0x67fc0082 (0x4ab29800 0x49203c1c 0x108 0x62) 0x49203d48 : 0x67fbb940 (0x8c7e504 0xc0185405 0x49203ed0 0x1efb9f) 0x492 --- Model: MacBookPro2,2, BootROM MBP22.00A5.B07, 2 processors, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.33 GHz, 3 GB Graphics: kHW_ATIr520Item, ATY,RadeonX1600, spdisplays_pcie_device, 256 MB Memory Module: BANK 0/DIMM0, 2 GB, DDR2 SDRAM, 667 MHz Memory Module: BANK 1/DIMM1, 1 GB, DDR2 SDRAM, 667 MHz AirPort: spairport_wireless_card_type_airport_extreme (0x168C, 0x87), 1.2.2 Bluetooth: Version 2.0.0f20, 2 service, 1 devices, 1 incoming serial ports Network Service: Ethernet, Ethernet, en0 Network Service: Parallels Host-Guest, Ethernet, en2 Network Service: Parallels NAT, Ethernet, en3 Serial ATA Device: TOSHIBA MK2035GSS, 186.31 GB Parallel ATA Device: HL-DT-ST DVDRW GWA4080MA USB Device: Built-in iSight, Micron, high_speed, 500 mA USB Device: IR Receiver, Apple Computer, Inc., full_speed, 500 mA USB Device: Bluetooth USB Host Controller, Apple, Inc., full_speed, 500 mA USB Device: Apple Internal Keyboard / Trackpad, Apple Computer, full_speed, 500 mA Do I need to worry about this? Try reinstalling Parallels. I had some trouble with it, but it never gave me kernel panics (although you're probably using a newer version than me).
Parallels is inferior to VMWare Fusion - try the demo of Fusion. Beadia I judge you when you use poor grammar.

I have had previous problems with Parallels where it would lock up my entire Mac and I would have to hold down the power button to restart my Mac. This is the 3rd time I have had to uninstall Parallels. I don't need to take my MBP to get looked at do it? I will check out VMWare Fusion. Thanks for the recommendation.
