Hello people,
I have bought last Friday my MacBook pro 17''. I have two problems. 1) I cannot find anywhere the activation key (16digits) Where on earth is it? I am trying to make registration!!!!! 2) Inside the box there is a small black box with the instructions, cds etc. I am missing one cd although I have the cover of it and there is a sticker on it that says "not for resale". Does anybody knows what cd was in there? I am really *CRAVING FOR ICE CREAM* of with the resseler!!! Please if you can help me ![]() Thank you so much, Alice (Greece) Last edited by MacHeadCase; 11-20-2007 at 02:55 PM. Reason: bad word filter kicked in... naughty naughty |

If you mean the serial number to register your Mac at Apple, click on the blue Apple logo in the menubar and select About this Mac from the drop-down menu and click on the More Info... button. It should be listed in Hardware. Edited to add: About the missing CD or DVD, give Apple Care a call. Last edited by MacHeadCase; 11-20-2007 at 03:03 PM. |

Apple only includes a demo of those apps, you'll need to buy them if you want to continue using them after 30 days. None of the other stuff needs a serial number. |

I did what you told me about the hardware etc but I don't need the serial number but the activation key that it is inside the box in a label.
However, none of you have done this before? Register your mac at Apple? My mac is not used it is brand new!!! (I hope!!!) ![]() Stupid resellers in Greece!!! |

Macs do not use activation. I have registered every Mac in my house which is a lot of them. It's wanted the Serial Number.
