Command-Tab to switch to different applications top window, not all windows

everytime I switch to another application, OSX brings all windows of this application into the foreground. Can I somehow configure OSX to only bring the front-most window of that application into the foreground?
This is not to ask how to put more elements or even window icons into the Command-Tab-Application-Switcher.

I don't think so, but you can use CMD+~ to switch between application windows. Or you can downsize the windows you don't want to your Dock so they won't come up when you're switching around."Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others"
