    This "breach" doesn't seem to be confirmed, IMO. Some reports say that the author just misread the output of NETSTAT - "open|filtered" does NOT mean open. Interesting that Apple haven't commented yet.

    Who is this Heise Security anyway? Their site just seems to be a poorly-disguised blog - I'd rather see this from a more credible source.

    This grab more or less sums it up for me:

    Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer at F-Secure, said: "Year after year, Macs continue to have these potential security problems.

    "However, in practice they just don't seem to become real-world problems," he added. "The old wisdom still stands: if you want to avoid viruses and worms, get a Mac."
