Hi!

I received my copy of leopard today

I have this macbook : White 2.16ghz C2D 2gb ram , 120gb
and since I have installed Leopard, everything is sluggish and slow

The dock isn't smooth. Loadings aren't smooth

Am I the only one to have this problem?

Hey guys! Im having the same problems too. When click on a program in the dock it is very slow and almost non responsive. Also my Macbook is heating up very fast and the far is on constantly. Its worrying me. My fan NEVER came on before unless I was running a ton of stuff ... Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's totally what happened (is now less happening) to me.
I restarted a few times and it is less "extreme".
But yeah, i still get a few framerate drops with the dock and spaces.

Yeah same thing here the fan is going on less and less and the machine is getting cooler. I guess it was just trying to get used to the new OS ...

DavisCollins has a little shameless behaviour in the past

This is caused by the Indexing of you system for Spotlight, just let it finish and it will start to show its 'snappy' Leopard self!

Trust me I thought this same thing until I realized that it stopped once Spotlight was done Indexing.

im having the same issue. my MB is extremely slow. i just shut down my MB twice because it was taking longer than 10 minutes to open iCal. still havent opened it. how long does it take for indexing to finish? ive been trying to use my computer for 5 hours and even now i can only type 4 words before it freezes.

DavisCollins is right, that's just the mdimporter (spotlight) indexing your drive for the first time. Once it's done, your fans will quiet down. It only has to be done once, and dynamically updates after that...

im not 100% convinced. indexing stops after a bit and then i try to use a program and the computer seems to almost freeze. i wait 15 minutes for the app to open but end up shutting down and restarting. i keep going through this process.
