Do I need to do anything under the customize button, or can I just click install?

With "Customize" you can add/remove additional language packages and some other developer software. If you don't mind about the space, just go ahead and install. Good luck!

Ok, BIG PROBLEM! My Mac isn't working now. It went through the installation process and then restarted. Unfortunately, when it went from the grey Apple screen to the blue screen, it did not proceed to the login window. Nothing happens. I have a mouse arrow and that's it. It doesn't matter how long I let it go, nothing happens. I tried taking out the CD and it still stops at that point. What do I do??????

Should I try the install again? When I have it load from CD, it says that it would take up 11.2 GB to install instead of the 5.5 GB it said in the first place.

Mine said 11.2 when I installed.
And yes, probably the only thing you can do right now is try it again. schweb | community leader flickr » facebook » twitter » tumblr » google+ » about.me Mac-Forums: On Twitter | On Facebook | On Flickr

I agree with Schweb, give it another try. It can not hurt. Also if you still get the Blue Screen, Boot with the 10.5 DVD and run Disk Utility and repair the drive. Good luck.

No Problem, and my post wasn't meant to sound rude. I know what it means to do a complete install of your software as I was downloading a update when the file became corrupted which resulted in me reinstalling all of my software. I'm sweating bullets just thinking that I may have issues like yours when I update my MacBook Pro later this evening.

the exact same problem happened on my mbp. It said originally it needed 9gb space - I had just over 10 so was glad. Ran the disc just to upgrade and got the blue screen on restart after installation.
Went back to start and then said it needed 11gb but my HD had reduced to just under 5gb space. Only had one option - clean install and its really anoyed me that I didnt back my home folder up (on basis that I decide to just upgrade) but theres a lesson I have learned. Backed up all my pics and music but should have done my home drive. Fresh install and everything works fine. I have to say its a RAM eater this leopard. It really is.....Id hate to be running on 512mb.... http://itsallmac.com/blog/2007/10/26...pard-problems/ http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=374960 looks like its an upgrade problem...... Just the road and my MBP.. wohoo.. No wireless networks - DOH! Oh well, wheres my ipod! :headphone Last edited by homer_j; 10-26-2007 at 07:20 PM. |
