I am trying to set up my brand new macbrook pro (new to mac.....LOVE IT) to print in my windows workgroup environment with limited success. I am having no problem printing to the HP Laserjet 2200, but the HP Business Injket 2230 which is connected to the same computer simply won't print. It just sits there. If I print from the windows machine it works fine, so the cables are connected, but the settings aren't right.
I selected the drivers from the list correctly, and when that didn't work, installed the ones from the hp website. Now I have two listings for "HP Business Inkjet 2280 PS - v1.0" Under printer model in the printer browser window. Any ideas for a lost newb? Thanks, Plas. |

Welcome to Mac-Forums and to the Mac, Plastech.
Wish I could help you with this problem but I have never tried printing through a multi-platform network environment. I'm sure someone will be in here soon with a solution though. Meanwhile maybe you can search the forum, I know this multi-platform network thingy has come up a few times already and maybe you might get an idea on how to set it up. It is rather odd that the printer is appears twice in the printers list though. |
