click and drag my friend...

use spotlight to search for a song you have, click show all, then right click on the file and click reveal in finder

1. Find the item you want, select it, and choose File > Make Alias
2. Move the alias to wherever you want it.

or (the quick way)

Hold down Command + Option and drag the item to the place where you want the alias to go. (You'll see a curved arrow as you drag.)

an alias is different to a shortcut because if the original file that the alias is pointing to moves, the alias still works
