Hi there,
Lately my Macbook hasnt been acting as fast as it used to. I mean dont get me wrong its still a great computer and great for multi-tasking buts its just not that "super fast" speed I used to get when I first purchased it. I run Mac OS X 10.4.9 and I'm running Windows XP via Parallels which I always leave on 24/7. I was wondering if that could be the problem ? Even though I doubt it because I have 2 GB of RAM in my Macbook, so I allocated 800 MB for XP and 1.2 GB for Mac OS X. Any ideas what I can do to speed up my system ? Thanks |

It's almost certainly Parallels...
Virtualisation consumes a lot of system resources and OS X really benefits from lots of RAM. Allocating almost half of your RAM to Parallels will slow the rest of the system down if you multi task a lot. |
