Hello,

I have partitioned one of my drives into 3. partition 1 is NT, partition 2 is FAT32 and partition 3 was supposed to be my scratch disc.

As it stands Vista is installed on P1 and P2 is formatted BUT P3 is still free space. I went into disc utility to format it but it will not format the space without wiping the fresh install of Vista !! I also have Drive Genius but this wont do it either !

How can I format the 3rd partition as standard Mac without touching the other 2?

Just a guess - does Mac OS X have to be installed in the first partition of any hard drive it is on? Is that perhaps the issue?

No this is the scratch disc partition. I have 4 internal drives and this is drive 2
