OS 10.4 - Formatting free space

I have partitioned one of my drives into 3. partition 1 is NT, partition 2 is FAT32 and partition 3 was supposed to be my scratch disc. As it stands Vista is installed on P1 and P2 is formatted BUT P3 is still free space. I went into disc utility to format it but it will not format the space without wiping the fresh install of Vista !! I also have Drive Genius but this wont do it either ! How can I format the 3rd partition as standard Mac without touching the other 2? Experienced computer user, applications programmer and component level service engineer but came to the Apple platform with intro of intel!. Pro-photographer and director of electronics company. |
