Hi There, could anyone please help out. I have an iBook G4 and recently bought the tiger installation dvd's (off an online auction - they are authentic disks) specifically for the G4, but everytime I restart upon installation it is telling me that it cannot install on this computer. I am inserting the dvd, opening up the cd then choosing install Mac osx and bundled software. It tells me to restart; which I do then upon restart the message - "cannot install on this computer" appears and asks me to restart or click on 10.3.9.

Still not sure what to do and have held downC and option upon restart, but same message keeps appearing. Please help out.

You'll need to prove more information than that. What do you mean "does not proceed?" Are you booting from the DVD? Are you actually running the installer?

I judge you when you use poor grammar.

Sounds like if might be the wrong DVD for your computer - OSX install discs are specific to the hardware they are supplied with. I got the same thing when I muddled my iMac/MacBook DVDs up.
