How to Cancel current spotlight indexing
I installed a new hard drive and spotlight is trying to index the new drive and I want to cancel it till I get home from work. It is slowing down my MBP while working, so I would rather do it while I sleep.

But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to cancel the current indexing....

    anyone know?

looks like you may just be able to go to system prefs > spotlight, then the privacy tab and add the drives to the list not to search.
