OS 10.4 - Emergency! I can't find my Utilities folder!!!

I recently got my new Macbook Pro and so I've been downloading (and uninstalling) some programs. All of a sudden it stopped being able to open installation files, and so when I go to find my Utilities folder in the Applications folder... it's not there!!! Help me please, I'm pretty sure this is a big problem!

try doing a spotlight search for utilities, it should pick it up.
