I have a macbook pro and was wondering if I should have jounaling enabled. From my web searching it seems that journaling is more for servers. That it helps with recovery from crashes, or power fails.I am wondering if i am taking any performance hit with it on a laptop.

Your file system should come with Journaling enabled by default.
