OS 10.5 - Deleting Bookmarks

Hey guys i am having trouble deleting bookmarks in bother firefox and safari...when i ctrl and click it just opens it up as opposed to the normal which gives me the menu to edit/delete things...some help plz lol

In Firefox from the Bookmars menu select the 4 option from the top, there you can delete all your bookmarks.
