my blue and white G3 has a 6 gigabyte drive and i want to swap it out for a larger drive. can i just copy all of the folders from the small drive to the big drive or do i need to do a reinstall on the large drive? i ask because i don't have the OS install disks, but i want to install two large drives. can i get away with positioning the large drives and copying everything over?

as far as i know (on a windows based) you cannot just copy everything from the old HD to the new HD and expect everything to be the same and it would work as normal.
So my best bet would be that you cannot do that with mac as well. u got to backup everything and then do a fresh install and move the files over manually No Photographer is as good as the simplest camera. Currently Under Intensive Photoshop training... www.lynda.com |
