i bought an old powerbook g3 (bronze keyboard)
last week for my mum to browse the net and chat on msn messenger to her friends.. But it's really slugish... It's only got hotmail live messenger and firefox installed onto it... The spec's are: 400Mhz (512Mb cashe) 512Mb Ram.. The ram really confused me because the Max ram for the machine is 384Mb but wen i put in 512 it didn't complain and shows 512 in the "about this mac" so some how i've exceeded the capacity?!?!?! I'm on OS X 10.3 and was wondering if i drop to 10.2 would I see a preformance boost??? |

Well the OS is one reason to turn the system slugish, i couldn't tell you if drop to 10.2 would boost the performance, but try it anyway and let us know how it was. Good Luck
