OK, I have a question about how to remove trojans and whatnot on macs...I do think that I have a trojan, or something like that, on my mac.

For a while, infrequently, i've been seeing a popup box that says my computer has "Trojan SPM/LX."
Ordinarily I would not be concerned, but this wasn't a pop-up window, but it looked like an actual mac system message.
Another concern--On my activity monitor page, there is always a "Kernel_task" taking up a large chunk of memory.

Based on my knowlege of PC trojans, this would fit the bill very well...But I am still kind of new to macs, so I don't really know... I am scanning my computer with ClamXav right now, and have run TrendMicro's scanner(but i don't think that's really made to run under mac, so it may not have worked).

Could you post a screenshot? Just to check if it actually is a Mac System Message and not a pop-up window.
