Hi. I have a 2.5'' 60GB external hard drive, and when i connect it to my Macbook, it opens and theres 3 folders that are to do with the hard drive, like recycle, system information and another i forgot the name of.
Can i delete these as its anoyying when they're there. Or is there a way to hide them, as Windows automatically hides folders like these. Thanks |

Open up the Teminal app.
cd /Volumes/name_of_ext_hd touch .hidden <enter> pico .hidden <enter> <type the case sensitive names of the files you want to hide. One on each line.> -example Recycle System Information Now save the file ctrl+o <enter> ctrl+x Then relaunch the Finder Files will now be hidden to Mac only |
