My primary computer is an iMac 20 C2D. I've got a G4 tower connected to a router being used as a external hard drive. I haven't figured out how to get the two to automatically connect when I reboot the iMac, but I'm trying to find out if there's a way I can control the G4 from the iMac. I don't have a monitor or mouse/keyboard on the G4, purely for saving space, but I'd like to be able to turn off the G4 properly instead of hard-dropping it every time I want to turn it off.
is there a script or an app i can use to remotely shutdown the G4 or bring up the desktop???
QUOTE Thanks

Sure:

The nice solution is called Apple Remote Desktop.
The free solution is called VNC.

ARD is a breeze to use. VNC is a bit trickier and has less features, but you can't beat the price.
Google around and you should be able to find a tutorial on getting started with VNC. I personally used Chicken of the VNC for quite a while.
