for example i use CAMINO for surfing the net and my IM software is ADIUM.....but it seems like every time that i start either software that a disk image follows and appears on the desktop.
i cant seem to get rid of these disk images, i really just want it to stop appearing all the time and its annoying to eject the disk image everytime i close the software also. is there something i can do ???? thanks. |

Mods, please move this to the OS X forum, as it seems software related to me.
As for your question, it sounds to me like you did NOT install your applications (Camino and Adium). You merely copied the .dmg file into your applications folder. When you double click those to run them, your system is mounting the .dmg, and opening the program. You need to open the mounted .dmg, and copy the program file from within that folder to your applications folder, then remove the .dmg files from the apps folder. I think this should solve your issue. MacBook Air Unibody Core i5 1.8 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, iPhone 4S 32 GB White |
