I am new to mac and not terribly tech-savvy to begin with, so I'm stumped on this one. I got a USB to D9 serial cord to connect my old Palm to my iBook G4 (OS X 10.4), but couldn't use the mini disc that came with the cord to install the USB driver because of the iBook disc slot. I managed to get all the driver files onto a flash drive using a friend's desktop PC, so now they're all on my desktop. Trouble is, I can't figure out how to run the .exe files (which I assume are what I need to get the driver going?) There was one .pkg file in there which ran me through an installation and reboot, but that alone didn't do the trick - my computer still can't see the USB cable. Any ideas what I should try? Any help is appreciated!!

I think you are on the right track to make your Mac recognize the USB cable. Have you restarted your Mac after the installation?
btw. "*.exe" files are not executable on Macs. |

Your best bet would be to go to the Palm site and first see if there are any drivers needed and then if they are available for the Mac OS. Just download them from that site. __________________________________________________ Posting and YOU|Forum Community Guidelines|The Apple Product Cycle|Forum Courtesy mac: a waterproof raincoat made of rubberized fabric MAC: a data communication protocol sub-layer, also known as the Media Access Control Mac: a brand name which covers several lines of personal computers designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc.
