Unhappy OSX install using another machines disk
How can I install 10.4 on my old 10.3 powerbook using the install disks from my new Macbook Pro????

You can't. Those disks are model-specific and can't be used to install software on other Mac models. You'll have to buy a full retail OS X 10.4 Tiger install disk set.

Even if the disk was from an iMac G5 (PowerPC), you wouldn't be able to use those disks to install on another PowerPC Mac. The disks, as I said earlier, are model-specific.
