This may be a daft question - but im relatively new to macs - im using mac os x 10.4.9 - is it usual for your home directory to be also a server from the network tab (been a bit of weirdness recently with context menus dissapearing/reappearing and things being grayed out)

in servers there are 2 automounts - my *name* computer.local and 'static'
