Not been a mac user for long, so never been around when a new OS is released

what i wanted to ask is when leopard is released will there be a price drop on the tiger OS or will apple just stop selling it?

I believe that Apple will stop selling it when it sells out. You should be able to find it on ebay.

I don't know about Apple but if you go to:

http://yourmacstore.com/

you can get a Tiger upgrade for $59.95. I got one a few months ago and love it.

If you purchase that Tiger upgrade, can you then upgrade up to 10.4.9 with free software updates?

It's like a new model of car. The old model becomes unavailable, but its value decreases second hand.
