Is there a way of modifying the desktop grid in panther? In jaguar the grid was tighter together, while the grid on panther is all spread out, regardless of what size you make the icons. Their is just way too much space horizontally and vertically between my icons..

From your desktop (Finder), click "View" from the top menu and select "Show View Options". From there you can set the icon size with a simple slider.
If this is waay too much clicking for you, just hit apple+j in finder to jump directly ![]() oh, and I´d love to know about the grid stuff as well
