    New Shortname folder on Reboot
Hi guys, I've got a weird problem. Everytime I reboot my iMac, with OS X on it, a new folder is created in my Users folder titled "shortname" 1, then "shortname" 2, and so on. My user account name stays the same, with the same picture, but a new shortname folder is created and I lose all my settings and my serial keys. Rather annoying. Please help

It sounds like you changed the name of your home folder. Is that the case?
