    Window Manager
I know this question is sort of dumb, but is OS X's Window Manager easily customizable?

    No, Window Manager.

Like are you able to change the X Window manager to something else (like to Beryl in Linux?)

No, the Aqua Window Manager is not the easiest to toy with.

    There are some alternatives, however:

You will need to be sure and install the X11 package from your INSTALL DISCS, not the version or any version that is downloadable. The ONLY version of X11 that will work with your Mac is the one that came on your install discs.
