OS 10.4 - Update has caused problems with how text is displayed

Mac Specs: Mac Pro 2 * 2ghz Intel Xeon Dual Core :: 2GB Ram :: 2000GB HD Space :: OSX 10.4 & XP Pro

Well since doing the apple update i have had nothing but issues with how fonts are displayed.

In firefox/safari text displays on top of each other and also in MSN aswell as other areas

is there any way of uninstalling updates?

Sounds like a font conflict. Read this to help manage your fonts.
