What is the app? If it is Universal, then there would be no need to open it with Rosetta.

Most applications will handle the Rosetta emulation automatically, but there are times when you might have to force it to run under Rosetta even if it is labeled as Universal. So you can choose if need be.
I think the OP might be referring to this: Intel-based Macs: Forcing a Universal application to run with Rosetta __________________________________________________ Posting and YOU|Forum Community Guidelines|The Apple Product Cycle|Forum Courtesy mac: a waterproof raincoat made of rubberized fabric MAC: a data communication protocol sub-layer, also known as the Media Access Control Mac: a brand name which covers several lines of personal computers designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc.
