Hey

I just want all my folder to show up together at the top of the finder list instead of having to scroll down to find them.

The current finder doesn't sort items that way. There is n setting that will take folders to the top. it's a flaw hoping to be fixed with Leopard.

A number of third party file managers do behave as you wish. Check out PathFinder, and excellent Finder replacement, at: http://www.cocoatech.com.

It exhibits the desired behavior and much more. You will wonder how you ever lived without it.

EDIT: To long time readers of these forums - I remember a similar thread from some time back, but can't find it. Lots of different solutions were proposed. My PathFinder suggestion was just one of them. Does anyone remember the thread and can pull it up?

My Macs: PowerMac G5 Quad, 2.5 GHz, 4 Core, Mac Pro, 3.2 GHz 8 Core, Power Macintosh 7500/100

My OS': Mac OS X Tiger, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Mac OS X Leopard, Mac OS 8.6, openSUSE 10.3, Win XP
