OS 10.4 - Spotlight window in the corner does not appear

hi

Spotlight window in the right-top corner does not appear when click on it or press Command+Space. Any ideas how to fix that and why that happened ?

Don't do that!

Just open System Preferences > Spotlight and make sure the keyboard shortcut is set and checked (if it is checked then toggle the box off and then on).

did not hepled, thanks any way.

helped to rename the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.spotlight.plist
and to do a restart - just relaunching the finder does not help.
