OS 10.4 - Help!

Everything was working beautifully today and then I went to re-install my printer software and went I went to intall it, it asked for my passoword which is normal. I entered it and it came up and said " the software to be installed requires Adminstrator or higher level access privileges "
I am the adminstrator for this computer. HELP????

Hi cweeds. Could you give us a bit more info please? Which version of OS X (not Tiger but 10.4.3 for instance) and the model and specs of your Mac.

There are too many variables involved here. It could be corrupted user and system cache, it could be the last program you installed, in Panther's case it could be a simple thing like repairing disk permissions, etc.
