deleted items of home directory

I accidently deleted some files of my home directory folder. is there any way i can recover them at alll

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Most likely not, but there are a lot of programs out there that claim they can do it. Check Macupdate.com for these programs, I've never seen one that has worked.

I try to Command+Shift+/ when I can.

thanks for your help. I rebooted my mac, as the 10.4.9 update didnt go down well on my macbook.
