I know this is the question of the day and probably something everyone wants to know. I haven't seen anything on the Apple site but does anyone know when the Leopard OS is being released? I am waiting on my Tax Return then the new operating system then I will get my first Mac.

Has anyone heard anything even semi-official?

It's all just a guess.... IMO it could literally be anytime between tomorrow and July.

If you need a guarantee.... I GUARANTEE it will be release in 2007.

Everything you will read until it is actually released is rumors. There is no official date, only thing official is that it will be in spring sometime. I'm waiting too :]

It's coming out March 31. No wait, make that April 1. Or is it sometime in May? Oh I know, it's going to come out during the WWDC conference in June!!

Starting to see the pattern? Nobody knows the exact date for Leopard's release. The only DEFINITE answer is that it'll come out sometime in 2007.

As for the cost, it'll most likely be the same as current OS X pricing. $129 for retail, somewhat less with a student discount.

June 2007
July 2009

I know, I know... It is just that as soon as I get my tax return I want to order one. Luckily (or unluckily) I don't have my refund yet and Apple hasn't released Leopard yet.

I wonder if this security update is a sign that they are closer......
