OS 10.4 - why does the HD icon move from its location every time I open my power book?

I like to leave my HD icon on my upper right hand side of the screen but it moves by itself every now and then when I open my power book. its the only icon that move on my desk top. is there for this? :yinyang:

hmm...strange problem...i suggest pressing 'command j' (without any finder windows open) and checking the "keep arranged by" button.
