A friend of mine has an HP laptop and is thinking to switching to mac os x leopard or, if not possible, to tiger. He has decided he wants to buy leopard as soon it comes out. Is there a way to achieve this without paying another 1000+ euro for a macbook even if HP does not offer drivers for mac os x? Third party drivers perhaps?

Thanks in advance!

OS X will not work on PCs without serious hacking and probably a lot of hair tearing.

Drivers are the least of your problems. Where did your friend get the impression he can just switch to OS X on his PC?
