Hiya, I have recently had a few probs with a 2nd user account I set up and I have since deleted it.
I have noticed for some strange reason that one of the icons in the system preferences panel ie the software update one, has changed appearance.
Anybody had similar things happen?
Iv'e had a few strange things happen lately ever since I decided to trial the .mac account.
The system sometimes hangs and I have to restart and also I can't seem to have more one acc without something not working properly.

I had similar probs with the pc I owned before the macbook and I ended up having to restore the entire system.
Are there any checks I can carry out to validate the system before I get any more probs?

One last point the pc had a feature where you could go back prior to downloading software ie a few hours or a day etc, is this facility on the mac?

1. Close System Preferences.
2. Delete the following file:
YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
3. You will have to set up your System Preferences again (your customized settings).
QUOTE Thanks
