When ever i start up my computer, my macintosh hd icon always goes to the bottom part of the windows for some reason and i have to drag it back to where i wanted to be... can anyone help me w/ that?? thanks!

Go to Finder>View>Show View Options and have a look at what is chosen there ... try ticking 'Snap To Grid' and see if this helps.
