Any Intel Mac can only run 10.4 Tiger.

Virtually any other Mac ran run any Mac OS since System 8 I believe.

What about Windows XP or Vista on a Mac ... isn't that the equivalent of running an OS on a Mac ... I'm confused with this thread ...

Not at all. Most G4 systems can't even run 9.2.2, let alone System 8.

G5s can't run OS 9 at all.

*This excludes use of Classic Mode...
